Our Metric Transposing Gear for SouthBend Lathe 9A, 9B, 9C, & 10K lathes is another “because you asked for it” offering. This is the one that was always hard to get. Except for when the original SouthBend Lathe company was making these, suitable gears have never really been commercially available.

If you have all the other change gears on hand, THIS is the one remaining one that you need. This is the one that allows TRUE Metric Thread cutting. Everything else is just an approximation, or imitation. This is the one gear you can not do without.

These gears are Turned, Bored, Honed, and Gear Shaped from Heat Treated & Tempered Steel. They are ONE PIECE manufacture. Not assembled from two separate gears. And they are NOT MILLED. NOT 3D PRINTED.
